Whenever I find myself trying to explain to someone exactly who I am, my head seems to empty it's file cabinets every time without fail. How does one talk about themselves without sounding so self-absorbed? It's perfectly fine to love yourself and brag about whatever it is you are proud of, but often we get to thinking maybe we are not as cool as we thought we actually were, to begin with. Sometimes it's just way too complex to speak of someone you are still trying to get to know, yourself. That is exactly how I feel whenever I am standing in front of a stranger struggling to get the words out. It's too bad I don't have my own wiki bio.

But let's keep this very simple. My name is Katherine Alfaro. I am 22 years old currently. I love animals, nature, the color blue, the color black, music, food, cars, and positive vibes. Traveling and spontaneous adventures that build perfect memories and great experiences is all I really desire to remain happy.

I live for adventure and that feeling you acquire when you are happy or excited.

I was born in Torrance, CA. Basically a city in the South Bay area of the Los Angeles county. Eventually, my family moved towards the southeast to the city of Memphis, TN. I attended High school in Mississippi and went to college there as well. For the most part, I've lived in the south for most of my life.  I guess you can say that I am a Cali girl in a southern world. The southern accent can come out at times and my taste buds for some sweet tea is confirmation. Tennessee is where my heart will always belong too no matter what.

I grew up loving sports and mainly Soccer during my high school years. Being in a team and traveling for tournaments was my life. After high school, starting college introduced me to football. I absolutely love the SEC and football season is still my favorite time of the year. Of course, it's HAILSTATE first for Mississippi State. If I'm not ringing my cowbell for them, I'm yelling for the Vols or the Memphis Tigers. I also root for the Dallas Cowboys influenced by my family but now more than ever with Dak Prescott becoming QB1.

I have 2 dogs and one sibling. My mother is my muse and my father is just the source of my old soul and wacky personality. I love my family and will do whatever for them. We are a very close team and I can't stay too far away from them.

Makeup, fashion, and beauty just happens to be things I enjoy like many other girls. I love collecting. Collecting makeup, ball caps, sneakers, and coffee mugs. I can eat fruit all day on any day. If you catch me dancing while I am eating, that's when you know my food is delicious. Any time spent by the water is my preferred time. I'm terrible at singing but I often do that too. I dance when no one's watching or when I'm turning up with the besties.

All in all, life's too short to not take full advantage of the time we get. I feel like there's no point in living with negative vibes when we have the power to make life what we want. It's time to feel alive because we are. We can rest when we die.
